We WAHMs, or "mompreneurs" are not only vying for your business, competing with giant corporate stores, we also see our wares as extentions of ourselves and as such, we take great pride in creating something of quality.
2. WAHMs have better return policies than the Big Wigs. We want good word of mouth and word spreads fast in MommyLand! Moms are also a very loyal market and we treat you the way that we want to be treated.
3. Buying WAHM usually means buying local. Buying local means that your own country's economy is being supported, rather than say, Bolivia where child labour is common.
4. With more people working from home, there is less pollution from commuting! Which means that you can use CFC aerosol hairspray without guilt. Hey, you're doing your part, right? (Just kidding. I don't use aerosol hairspray. My index finger is not that lazy.)
5. More people working from home means more employment outside the home. Not everyone has the talent, stamina, knowledge, discipline or just plain finances to work from home. Freeing up jobs for these people lets them provide for their families with their own special skills.
6. Moms staying at home with their children is widely clouted as being the best option for their children (provided the circumstances are normal and poor mom isn't feeling homicidal with depression or something similar). The first five years are the most formative and no one can love a child like his or her parents. Some studies suggest that moms and babies have a unique relationship that can't be replicated by anyone else. Being a mom is hard, either way, and we need to stick by each other and be supportive!
