Save Time Scheduling Your Life

I don't know about you but I used to be able to keep track of my entire schedule in my head.  It was enough to merely jot down an appointment onto a scrap of the phone bill envelope and then lose it forever because that one action would imprint the event upon my brain.  I was smart and collected.

I was also single.

Enter: four children.

You know how it goes.  We glorious creatures are naturally detail oriented. Then something happens.  In the trenches of Mommydom those appointments and to-do lists become a barrage of rapid-fire and shrapnel.  And there's no retreat once you pee on that stick.  You are in this war for at least 18 years.

But you are no coward.  You decided to have a baby, didn't you?  So, you leap out of that trench and run full force toward enemy lines.  You're armed and dangerous, baby:  you've got AirSet.

AirSet is a FREE program that acts as a hub for your whole life: home, work, school, extra-curricular activities, church, etc.  There's a slight-to-medium learning curve, in my opinion, but it's worth the little effort.  Its bragging rights include:

  • the ability to share and contribute to a calendar with your spouse
  • the ability to do the same on a separate tab with your co-workers or staff
  • the ability to see your child's teacher's notes and schedule if they download and use AirSet too, don't have to add these things to your schedule yourself
  • easily import your calendars and contact lists
  • works with your handheld device so you can access all your obligations and appointments on the go

A similar, though more simple, concept is Cozi.  Also FREE, Cozi allows you to have a different colour code for each member of your family, on your calendar.  You can quickly send messages to your family members' handheld devices.  It also has a place for your shopping list.

Perhaps you're just looking for something that will email you reminders.  MemoToMe covers this beautifully.  FREE, simple and attractive.  If you want to sign up for their Platinum Edition, you can have these reminders sent to your phone or other device.

Never forget or be late again.  Wasn't that your New Year's resolution? Now, go find your appointments scribbled onto the back of your phone bill and transfer them some place permanent!
